Extend the Stamp Duty Holiday

During the COVID-19 crisis, the Government introduced a temporary holiday on Stamp Duty Land Tax on the first £500,000 of residential property sales across England and Northern Ireland from 8 July 2020 which is due to end 31 March 2021.

Currently, there are no Government plans to extend the SDLT holiday. This will result in major fall throughs on agreed sales, and you may not be able to afford properties you are looking at now!

At 100,000 signatures, this petition will be considered for debate in Parliament. Please take a minute to sign if you want to save money on your property purchase.
